Privacy Policy

MendPaw is built on a simple principle: your pet's health information is none of our business — literally. This policy explains, in plain language, exactly what that means.

The short version: MendPaw has no user accounts, no analytics, no advertising, and no third-party SDKs of any kind. All the information you enter stays on your device. Paul Badarau (trading as alplustech), the developer of MendPaw, has no access to it, cannot see it, and does not receive it in any form.

1. Who we are

MendPaw is developed by Paul Badarau, trading as alplustech ("we", "us", "the developer"). We can be reached at contact@alplustech.com.

2. What information the app stores

MendPaw lets you record, at your own discretion:

Your pet's temperature readings and fever curve
Symptoms, medicine doses, free-text notes, and photos you choose to attach to an episode
Vaccination records, preventative schedules, and weight entries
Vet Report and Sitter Card PDFs you choose to create or share

All of this information is stored locally on your device. MendPaw does not send your records to the developer or to a developer-operated server.

3. What we don't do

No accounts. MendPaw does not ask you to sign up, log in, or create a profile with us.
No analytics or crash reporting SDKs. We do not embed third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking libraries.
No ads. MendPaw does not show advertising.
No server of ours. There is no alplustech-operated backend that receives, stores, or processes your pet health data. We have built nothing that would let us see it.

4. iCloud and shared caretakers

Sync and shared caretaker access are on the way. When optional iCloud sync is introduced, it will use your own private iCloud account and Apple's infrastructure; MendPaw will not route or store your data on developer-operated servers. A future shared-record feature is intended to let a caretaker, co-owner, or pet-sitter access a pet's record through invited iCloud accounts.

5. Photos and device permissions

If you attach a photo to an episode, it remains on your device with the rest of your MendPaw data. MendPaw only accesses the camera or photo library when you actively choose to add a photo.

6. Notifications and Siri

Medicine-reminder alerts are scheduled as local notifications on your own device. Siri quick logs are handled by Apple on your device. No reminder content, Siri request, or scheduling data is sent to us or to a third party by MendPaw.

7. On-device AI

When available, MendPaw's AI-assisted summary features run on your device. Your pet's records are not sent to an alplustech server for AI processing.

8. Data retention and your control

Because MendPaw does not hold your data, retention and deletion are entirely in your hands: delete an entry or pet record, or delete the app to remove local data. You can export your data at any time from within the app.

9. Legal basis and your rights (GDPR)

Because no personal data about you or your pet is transmitted to, or processed by, the developer, there is no developer-held record for us to access, correct, erase, or export. If you have a question about how MendPaw handles information, contact us at contact@alplustech.com and we will answer directly and honestly.

10. Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, we will update the effective date above and, for material changes, note them in the app's release notes.

11. Governing law

This policy is governed by the laws of Romania and, where applicable, the European Union, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
